Curcumin (or turmeric) is a fantastic, all-natural anti-inflammatory. For chronic inflammation conditions, like arthritis,
osteoarthritis, and bursitis, regular curcumin supplements are a great way to reduce inflammation and pain.
As we’ve talked about in the past, it’s not a matter of taking one curcumin pill and feeling better right away. Curcumin should be taken on a regular basis.

But what about curcumin to treat sciatica?
You will recall that sciatica is caused by an irritation or compression of the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back, through the buttocks, and down into the legs. It is one of the largest nerves in the body.
In some cases, sciatica can be caused by inflammation, either of the nerve itself, of from inflammation in the tissues surrounding the sciatic nerve.
So it is difficult to say with any degree of certainty whether or not curcumin will work specifically for your sciatica.
However, if you’re constantly fighting the pain and discomfort from sciatica, then a month or two of curcumin therapy is worth the chance.
