Get some sleep!

Who needs more sleep? Apparently, a lot of us do!

A truly shocking study was published in The Guardian on Saturday, in which over 38,000 workers were surveyed about their sleep patterns. Of note,

Some employees get less than five hours sleep a night, only one in seven feels completely refreshed when they wake and more women have poor shuteye than men. 



We found this alarming as well:

“These are very worrying findings because lack of sleep is a risk factor for a whole range of serious health problems, such as stroke and heart disease,” said Massey.

We’ve talked about the importance of sleep many times. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control calls it a “…public health epidemic”
Sleep is increasingly recognized as important to public health, with sleep insufficiency linked to motor vehicle crashes, industrial disasters, and medical and other occupational errors.
